Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros frontman Alex Ebert performed a few tunes from the backyard of his New Orleans home during Rolling Stone’s “In My Room,” an IGTV series in which musicians perform from their home amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ebert performs a John Lennon cover, Jealous Guy (from his new solo album, “I vs. I”), 40 Day Dream (from ESMZ’s “Up From Below” album) and Truth (from his debut solo album “Alexander”).

“I’m trying,” Ebert said, after performing 40 Day Dream without his “incredible band members and family” playing along.

“I just learned that,” Ebert added. “I haven’t played it forever. But this is what is happening now. I’m alone, completely alone in the studio, which is my house.”
