Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros frontman Alex Ebert has introduced the first peer-to-peer fundraising platform for politics that will allow you to donate directly to Bernie Sander’s presidential campaign.

BernieBundlr.org makes it easy to collect small dollar contributions from your friends and family for the campaign.

“Given Coronavirus, we need the idea of Medicare for All to win,” Ebert said. “It doesn’t really matter who wins the presidency at this point. We need the ideas that are the right ideas to win and Bernie’s got the right ideas. Medicare for All needs to happen now. We cannot have 20 million uninsured and a whole bunch of people not be able to pay for tests and treatment. We need Medicare for All.”

While you can raise contributions for other candidates via Bundlr.org, Ebert’s focus is on Sanders and his Medicare for All plan, which would establish a universal single-payer health program to ensure care for all residents of the United States.

“The best thing that we can do is donate to Bernie’s campaign to show the establishment that that’s what we care about, so that he can continue his crusade – up until at least the debates – and show that the people want those ideas,” Ebert said. “It’s very important.”

“Instead of just getting people out to vote, you can actually raise money yourself now. It goes directly to the campaign.”
