Occupation: Childcare officer
Hobbies/Interests: Making wine, celebrating the solstice, casting spells and listening to the Magnetic Zeros
When and how did you discover Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros?
“I watched a documentary about a year ago – “The Big Easy Express” – and have been enchanted by the Magnetic Zeros ever since.”
Have you seen ESMZ perform live?
“I watch or listen to them daily. They all always put a smile on my face. My family are now fans. Unfortunately they don’t play many concerts in the U.K., so not had the opportunity to see them live yet.”
How has ESMZ influenced your life?
“When life throws its usual chaos our way, my husband and I talk to each other using lyrics from ESMZ. Or favourite is “Riding hell’s hot trails, coming up from below.”
Favorite ESMZ song(s)?
“That’s a tough one. Home is iconic, but Man of Fire is amazing. All Wash Out just puts me in that special place.”
Additional notes, comments, favorite ESMZ stories, etc.?
“I work with special-needs children and sometimes have trouble getting them to sleep. I sing All Wash Out to them instead of nursery rhymes. Now, during the day, they ask me to sing it or they will hum the tune. Not very exciting for you but the children I work with are autistic and can barely put a sentence together.”
