Los Angeles-based management company New Community Music will present an “official showcase lineup” next month at South By Southwest in Austin, Texas, highlighted by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and ESMZ guitarist/vocalist Christian Letts. The New Community showcase will be held the evening of Thursday, March 19 at Central Presbyterian Church.
Last week, Letts released his debut solo album, “Hold Fast,” which was produced by friend Marcus Mumford. “We got all our schedules lined up to make it happen, flew to the U.K. and spent two Januaries laying it all down,” Letts told Rolling Stone Magazine. “We were surrounded by some of the most beautiful souls I have ever known. The most scenic and inspiring countryside, better than I could ever paint or imagine. A huge sense of love and trust.”
The SWSW showcase lineup also will feature pop band Wild Ones, Brooklyn rock group Alberta Cross and Irish singer-songwriter, James Vincent McMorrow, according to the SXWS music website. The showcase will be open to SXSW Music and Platinum Badge holders.
