On June 16 in Bonnaroo, Ohio University student Haden DeRoberts was reunited with Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, a little over a year after the band visited him at the James Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio.

In the fall of 2011, Ohio University student Haden DeRoberts was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. On May 30, 2012, he received a life-saving bone narrow transplant from an anonymous donor. That same day he was visited by ESMZ, who hung out with him and played a few songs in his hospital room.
