After a two-week break, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros are back on the road, performing in tonight’s inaugural Mo Pop Festival at Freedom Hill Amphitheatre, in Sterling Heights, Mich.

The band has had a busy summer, performing in such festivals as Floydfest in Floyd, Va., and The XPoNential Music Festival in Camden, N.J. The Zeros also will appear at Loufest Sept. 8-9 in St. Louis.

“I love music festivals,” Jade Castrinos told the Detroit Free-Press. “I think they’re one of the greatest things going.”

The newspaper conducted a Q&A with Castrinos before the band appeared at the XPoNential music festival outside Philadelphia, touching on such topics as performing on The Late Show with DaviLetterman, meeting Alex Ebert and Mariah Carey.
